Fruit: 0,5-2% volatile oil with monoterpenes as chief components
(up to 80% α- and β-pinenes, up to 5% terpinen-4-ol,
α-terpineol, borneol, geraniol, etc) but also sesquiterpenes (e.g.cadinen)
which are often found only in traces.
Contains also about 30% invert sugar,
3-5% catechol tannins, flavonoids and leucoanthocyanidins.
Appearance:Colorless to faintly green or yellow liquid
Odor : Crisp, woody,earthy,with almost a hidden fruity note
